U.S., Mexico, Canada Pledge 50 Percent Clean Power by 2025

The United States, Mexico and Canada will soon jointly pledge to help North America meet an ambitious goal of generating at least 50 percent of its energy from a mix of carbon-free electricity sources by 2025, Bloomberg reports. The countries are expected to commit to increasing their reliance on wind, solar, nuclear and hydro power at a summit this week in Ottawa.

This California Utility Will Soon Hit Its Net Metering Cap

Utility Rate Changes Mean Cloudy Future For Montana Solar Power

Montana regulators last week voted to temporarily suspend the price the utility NorthWestern must pay for solar energy generated by small companies, Montana Public Radio reports. This means companies will have to negotiate with NorthWestern on what to charge for their solar supplies on a case-by-case basis until a new rate is determined.
