Gov. Snyder to Outline Renewable, Energy Efficiency Goals for Michigan

Dec 19, 2013
(Detroit Free Press)

Renewable energy standards and the increasingly important role of energy-efficiency initiatives are two of the main topics Gov. Rick Snyder is expected to address when he discusses energy policy today in Detroit.

The briefing comes after the Michigan Public Service Commission and Department of Energy completed four reports on energy-related issues during the past three months.

Snyder isn’t expected to make specific recommendations on energy policy, but rather outline some long-term goals that the Legislature should consider next year.
