The Association of Cleantech Incubators of New England (ACTION) says it has received $90,000 in funding from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) to support the launch of ACTIONPass, a new program designed to drive clean energy business activity to Massachusetts and the Northeast region through a diverse network of cleantech incubators, and to gather data regarding Massachusetts clean energy incubators and their member companies.

Regardless of their geographic location, cleantech entrepreneurs may engage with and contribute to the cleantech ecosystem in Massachusetts and the Northeast through ACTIONPass, ACTION's new membership level. ACTION says the program provides an affordable entry point for cleantech start-ups not ready for full incubation to access meeting space and programs within the growing network of ACTION incubators.

"Bringing together incubators will benefit the expansion of clean energy business development across Massachusetts," says MassCEC CEO Alicia Barton McDevitt. "We’re looking forward to working with ACTION to gather research and data regarding incubators that support clean energy start-ups in Massachusetts."
