InsideClimate News welcomes story pitches from professional journalists who can write fluently about issues related to climate change, energy and the environment for a general audience.
While our readers are often deeply engaged in these issues, and a good many are specialists, we want every visitor to InsideClimate News to understand both the science behind and the importance of every story.
Some tips on pitching us: include a compelling hook and whatever brief background we need to understand your angle, and identify a few sources. Send us links to any relevant news articles on the subject you want to write about, as it will save us time evaluating your pitch.
If you’re new to pitching InsideClimate News, please include links to recent clips and a CV. We do not accept completed articles, or articles that have been previously published (except for those we pick up through formal agreements with our content-sharing partners).
Please understand we cannot accept articles from advocates, lobbyists, or marketing and PR professionals. We appreciate your passion, but we’re not the appropriate venue for it.
