SolveClimate was launched in late 2007 and has become part of the national conversation on climate solutions. A year after we launched, one ranking based on Technorati data put us at #8 among blogs devoted exclusively to global climate change.

In January 2009, we shifted gears, leaving behind opinionated blogging in favor of news reporting and analysis. Our stories are now indexed by Google News.

If you like the work we're doing on SolveClimate, please consider making a contribution to help us keep going, pay our freelancers a living wage, and expand.

The way we look at it, the work we need to do has only just begun.

SolveClimate's mission is to articulate the social, economic, environmental and moral case for climate action -- and to hold elected officials accountable for solutions.

Even with a new president and Congress inclined to push an aggressive climate agenda, the wheels of change grind slowly. The transformation to a low-carbon economy will still require decades of dedicated effort and we intend to help it along and faithfully chronicle its progress.

So please help us survive for the long haul by putting us sturdily on our feet in these early years of our existence.
