Michigan's Largest Wind Farm Starting to Take Shape

In just a few weeks in Michigan's Gratiot County, about 150 construction workers will begin building the first of 133 wind turbines at the new 200-megawatt wind farm from Chicago-based developer Invenergy. The project, when completed, will more than double Michigan's existing wind power generation.

How eBay's Data Center Benefited From Solar

San Jose, Calif.-based online auction site eBay says the 100-kilowatt solar array on its data center in Denver is already delivering benefits, such as reduced electricity costs and fewer greenhouse gas emissions from the center.

Oklahoma No. 6 in U.S. for Wind Power

Oklahoma ranked sixth nationwide with 352 megawatts in new-build wind power capacity last year, the U.S. Department of Energy stated in its annual wind development report. The state also finished 10th in raising its wind-power portion of total electricity generation to about 6.9 percent.
