In Rural Texas, Wind Power Means Jobs

As discussions around climate change in America have become partisan, so have those around energy—but not in Sweetwater, Texas, where there was money to be made from the wind industry. Wind turbines are bringing jobs, tax dollars for new schools, income security for farmers and energy independence to this rural West Texas town. For these Texans, whose state gets more than 12 percent of its power from the wind, climate change has little do with it.
