Katie Livingstone is a graduate student in Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, specializing in politics, policy and foreign affairs. Currently an intern for Foreign Policy magazine and covering national security for Medill News Service, she brings over a decade of writing experience and a global perspective to her reporting. After she earned a B.A. in political science from Wellesley College, she taught English for several years in Italy. She also earned a Master of Arts in Gender Studies from Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, where she spearheaded public awareness campaigns for gender equality. Later, she became a Fulbright Fellow directing a social theater and public awareness campaign in Albania with the help of the U.S. embassy and international organizations. Before entering Medill, Katie founded a company, Sassovivente, providing cause marketing and content services.
