Norfolk, Virginia: An Immediate Threat

Sea levels are rising everywhere, but the Navy town of Norfolk, Virginia has it worse. The land is sinking as much as an inch-and-a-half per decade. Scientists also believe that a slowing Gulf Stream is causing seas to rise faster along the Mid-Atlantic coast. And yet, little is being done by the Navy to hold back the tides here.
