Comic Relief: Advertising on Non-Existent Web Pages

If you were running a web site, and someone asked to buy ad space on the page where misdirected links end up, you’d probably think you just found money on the sidewalk. Who would want to advertise on the page viewers go to by accident?

The Reality Campaign, that’s who.

They’ve taken out a big banner on Washingtonpost.com’s misdirected url page. The banner says:

THIS PAGE DOES NOT EXIST

KIND OF LIKE CLEAN COAL

Priceless.

Priceless, too, that a campaign called REALITY would be advertising on web pages that don’t exist. It’s a new cyber-metaphysics.
